Housing Support
Program:
Assist persons who are experiencing difficulty securing and retaining permanent housing, and advocates on their behalf. Available to all citizens regardless of their disability.


Residential Support Services:
Provides community support which helps individuals to obtain suitable housing, maintain independence and remain out of hospital. An 8 bed home offers permanent, geared to income residency for consumers who meet admission criteria.

Works For Me:
Assist employment disadvantaged individuals who have a serious mental illness that is long term or recurring in nature, to obtain employment and volunteer experience.

Health Promotion and Prevention:
Public education concerning mental health issues. Programming addresses the needs of all age groups. Some programs focus on adolescents and some on the development of support groups.

HPS is a comprehensive, community-based treatment and rehabilitation agency. The target population is adults with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. CMPP is a community-based service for individuals with severe mental illness. The service is offered through the Hamilton-Wentworth Department of Public Health and includes long-term case management as well as shorter term counseling/treatment services. In addition, CMPP provides support and education to second level lodging home operators, partnership with the Mental Health Rights Coalition and HPH's Bridges to Discharge Project. A range of other services are also provided offering support to the homeless, sexuality health promotion education, a friendship group at the Women's Centre, a family education and training program and various research projects.
